This 1955 classic carries its protagonists (and the audience) on a magical trip from a modern-day science museum to the Ice Age, Tertiary, Miocene, Mesozoic, Triassic, Jurassic, Carboniferous, and Silurian eras. It's a cozy, whimsical, and educational adventure full of prehistoric behemoths animated using pioneering stop-motion and in-camera techniques (orchestrated by Czech tech wizard Karel Zeman).
