Darkman
Before he directed SpiderMan, in 1990 Sam Raimi (Evil Dead) invented a new (and unencumbered by pesky copyright laws) superhero specifically for the silver screen. It was Darkman! With a bit of Doctor X and Phantom of the Opera and The Shadow thrown into the mix and starring Liam Neeson, this oddball flick was destined to be a bonkers cult classic.
